NYSTLA honored Westchester mainstay and former president of  the New York State and Westchester Bar Associations, Henry G. Miller, Clark, Gagliardi & Miller, PC, with a lifetime achievement award on Thursday, October 22. NYSTLA President Evan M. Goldberg presented Miller with the award in a ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Tarrytown.

Miller said, "I'm humbled to receive this award today and thank Justice Scheinkman, Evan, and everyone at NYSTLA for their recognition. I have been so fortunate that over the course of my career many New Yorkers trusted me to protect their rights and stand up for them in their time of need. This award is in their honor and I thank them for belief in me."

Miller, who graduated from St. John’s Law School in 1959, has practiced law for over 50 years and has had an extensive career in New York State and nationally. He has been a Regent of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Director of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and was appointed by Gov. Mario Cuomo to chair the Commission on Local Government Ethics. Miller was a recipient of the Pace University School of Law Distinguished Service Award in 1997. In addition to his service to New York, Miller was a Corporal in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea for 18 months.

"It is an honor to present this award to Henry Miller, who has had such a distinguished history of service to the people of New York. Henry's contributions to the justice system have been invaluable and he's set a standard of excellence both in the legal profession and our a community as a whole."

- NYSTLA President Evan Goldberg

"I have been blessed to work with Henry Miller over the last several years and witness his steadfast commitment to our civil justice system. Those of us living in Westchester can only hope to leave the same lasting impact that Henry has left on our courts and region."

- NYSTLA Westchester Affiliate President
