Q. Why should I become a member?
A. NYSTLA offers members a great value for one of the smallest annual membership dues in the country. Members can save thousands of dollars every year on CLE discounts, expert transcripts, informative publications, and at the same time benefit from our vitally important political action and lobbying team. For over 57 years, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association has worked to protect New York's civil justice system, fighting against legislative initiatives that threaten to limit the rights of injured consumers. These threats now exist at the federal, state, and city levels, making NYSTLA a crucially important voice for the voiceless.
Q. How do I access Members Only sections of the NYSTLA website?
A: Members Only sections of the website can only be accessed by logging in using your personal username and password. If you have forgotten or lost your login information, please click here to reset your username and/or password.
Q. As a member, how much do I save on CLE purchases?
A: Members save 30% off the price of CLE seminars and materials. The discounts could add up to over $450 in savings throughout the year.
Q. What are online discussion forums/list servers?
A: Discussion Forums allow members to share ideas, opinions and information quickly and easily. Organized by topics in an easy-to-follow format, discussion forums are designed so you can quickly locate information via a peer-to-peer communication platform. Through the Forums you get access to some of the best legal minds in the business for FREE. This is one of the most useful ways of getting an answer to any legal question you might have. To join the list servers, please click here, or call our membership department at (212) 349-5890.
Q. How do I pay my membership dues?
A: Current members receive an invoice in the mail 2 weeks before the month of membership renewal. If a member joined in February 2012, they will receive a renewal invoice in the mail mid-January 2013. Members can pay their annual dues through NYSTLA's website, mail in a check, or fax/call the membership department to pay with a credit card.
