Litigating Personal Injury Cases in Federal Court: Practical Considerations for Plaintiff’s Attorney

Date: 11/19/2020

November 19, 2020

1 Skills CLE Credit

This seminar has been approved for non-transitional credits.

This CLE program is PLAINTIFF-ONLY. You must sign a Confidentiality Agreement as to both your and your firm's plaintiffs-only status.

This course is designed to educate the plaintiff’s attorney who is uninitiated in – or even downright scared of – basic federal personal injury practice. It is intended to be a crash course on federal pretrial procedural requirements and strategic considerations that every plaintiff’s attorney should be familiar with. We will cover these requirements and practical tips, from the pleading stage and initial pretrial conference through discovery practice and expert witness considerations. We will also discuss the circumstances under which a case is likely to – or must – end up in federal court, and strategic considerations that may make federal court a preferable forum.

Once you place your order, please email Traci Ogburn ( togburn@nystla.org ) for the confidentiality agreement.  Once the confidentiality agreement has been returned and your plaintiff status has been approved you will be sent the Dropbox link to the program. It may take 2-3 business days to receive the link.
