Judges of New York County will discuss what they have seen “work” and what hasn’t worked (i.e the “do’s and don’t of Trial Practice) from Jury Selection to summation they will discuss common errors, things that they see that they liked and what they did not like; what common errors are made concerning evidence and statements made in front of a jury; and they will have an open discussion from the Judiciary’s perspective as to how we can be better in our craft. The Judges have the benefit of seeing many different Trial Lawyers and styles, so they also have a feel as to what works in New York County. Also, having spoken to many jurors over the years, the feedback they received from the jurors would be invaluable for all of us to know.
