This not-to-be-missed lecture will provide three distinct points of view on a crucial element of the civil lawsuit.  Plaintiffs’ attorneys must attempt to maximize their money damages; defendants seek the opposite result. Successful and seasoned trial attorneys David Dean and Glenn Dopf will advocate their conflicting positions.  Plaintiffs’ attorney David Dean will illustrate the many elements necessary to maximize damages. Defendant’s attorney Glenn Dopf will detail the methods defendants use to minimize damages.  Both will use multiple trial examples - from jury selection through summation - to support their position.  The Honorable Joseph Covello retired from the Appellate Division, Second Department, will give impartial insight based upon his long career as a Trial and Appellate Judge.
