NY SUN: Bloomberg's Claims Are 'Exaggerated'

An article in Tuesday's New York Sun found that many of the claims Mayor Bloomberg has used in his assault on the civil justice system have been inaccurate, misstated or exaggerated. According to the article, "An examination of court documents by The New York Sun shows that city officials have exaggerated or misstated the facts of the cases that have repeatedly been cited as examples of an out-of-control tort system." NYSTLA President Jeffrey Lichtman urged the mayor to represent the facts accurately: "It's important, when this is discussed in a public forum, that the facts are set forth in detail so that we all get a sense of what the truth is."
