Communicating A Theme During Jury Selection

March 19, 2009

6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.

NYSTLA, 132 Nassau Street

New York, NY 10038

3 CLE Credits

Learn about how to best communicate your theme, either as a plaintiff's or defendant's lawyer in a variety of tort cases.

The plaintiffs and defendants try to set themes in a variety of tort actions. See experts such as Harold Schwab defending and selecting a jury in a products liability action, Robert Deutsch in a medical malpractice action and John Fabiani in a construction case.

See plaintiff's experts such as David Dean discuss jury selection in premises cases such as the first World Trade Center bombing, or Henry Miller discuss his ideas in medical malpractice litigation or Susan Karten discussing premises cases where women are assaulted.

In addition, there will be a review of problems in jury selection in bifurcated cases, automobile cases and cases with special damage problems.

Discuss the view of esteemed New York Supreme Court Judge Alice Schlesinger on the Court's future on jury selection.
